Wilderness Athlete Warehouse - Project New Hope ®
Supporting our local community, Wilderness Athlete's warehouse facility is the Alexandria Opportunities Center. They handle all the companies pick, pack and shipping needs.
Alexandria Opportunities Center (AOC) was organized by Project New Hope in the early 1970’s as a work program to teach vocational and community living skills. Project New Hope had visions of developing integrated work opportunities for people with disabilities which were no different than those opportunities available to other non-disabled citizens. In 1985, Alexandria Opportunities Center incorporated as a private, non-profit “Developmental Achievement Center” (DAC) licensed by the Minnesota Department of Human Services.
In 1991 Alexandria Opportunities Center moved to its current location and in 1998 expanded the facility to include 24,500 sq. ft. of production, manufacturing, and office space.
Today, many local companies rely upon our capable work force to provide value-added services to their customers products.
Since its inception, the mission of “providing support for growth, learning, development, and greater independence”, has remained unchanged.
"Everyone who holds a job feels a sense of accomplishment. Knowing you are producing a valued product or providing a valued service gives you a sense of value, increased confidence, and pride."
